Retail technology company 365 Retail Markets and food services company, Compass Group, have reached a settlement over allegations of collecting fingerprint data from vending machine users without proper notice and consent. Facebook to compensate South Korean users over consent breach
South Korean state watchdog on personal information protection recommended Facebook operator ‘Meta Platforms’ to pay compensation of $256.70 to each of the 181 users demanding damages for the provision of their personal information to third parties without consent.
